Reading battled with ten players for much of the second half to claim a point against south-east London opposition in their first home game in the Championship.
Sanne Troelsgaard was dismissed early in the second stanza, but the hosts dug in well against a Charlton side who worked hard all night. Carla Humphrey came close for the visitors with an effort from the edge of the box that hit the post.
