Fremantle City 5-0 UWA-Nedlands
Dynamic breaks from Fremantle City established their threat from kick-off.
UWA-Nedlands were quick on their feet with the counter play, which managed to keep the hosts at bay until a cutting cross from Abbey Green fell to the feet of Leyna Wood on the charge. Wood broke through the last line of the visitors’ defence and tucked away Freo’s first goal of the afternoon.
To see out the first half, a shirt pull in the box from the away side, saw Fremantle awarded a penalty just before half-time that was ultimately capitalised on by skipper Annabelle Leek.
The second half commenced in similar fashion to the first with all the action compacted into the final minutes. An overhead volley from Janice Kiama fell to the feet of a dangerously positioned Green, who was able to neatly tuck away the port city side’s third.
Lacey Heys refreshed Perth’s memory of Sam Kerr’s iconic Asian Cup goal, by netting tight angled cross. And a volley from range to the credit of substitute Georgie Ireland, sealed the deal on a very successful afternoon for Freo.

Perth Azzurri 2-0 Subiaco
The opening exchanges were tight and evenly contested.
The breakthrough came around the half-hour mark when Perth Azzurri capitalised on a defence-splitting move, allowing Epril Nossent to fire home from inside the box.
Shortly after, some impressive counter attacking from the home side resulted in Jess Flannery netting the second goal shortly afterwards. The Azzurri sealed the deal on a successful afternoon early on in the piece.

Football West Academy 7-2 Sorrento
Football West Academy (FWA) wasted no time asserting themselves at home.
Theo Mouithys opened the scoring in style, striking a clean volley from the ‘D’. Moments later, the hosts doubled their advantage through a well-executed corner, with Cate McAuliffe to credit. Capping off a blistering opening ten minutes, Piper Dowe made a piercing run that split the defence and finished clinically to add a third.
Just before halftime, Dowe was on the charge again when a dominating run down the right wing set the stage for the perfect goal scoring opportunity. The strike took the young guns up 4-0 before the halftime whistle.
The second half saw Theo Mouithys claim her brace, perfectly positioned on the wing to latch onto a through ball and finish with composure, an intelligent read of play that brought up the fifth goal of the afternoon. At that stage, prospects for Sorrento appeared limited.
However, as the clock wound down, the tide turned impressively for the Seagulls. A renewed and dominant presence in the box caught the FWA defence off guard, resulting in two quick-fire goals within minutes and a late surge of momentum.
FWA added to their tally with two further goals after the 90th minute, with McAuliffe getting her brace, and an own goal completed the tally.
